ATR

Congrats! Be interested to hear your thoughts on it. Doesn’t seem like there are a lot running around in the states.

I liked it a lot. It’s definitely not a hot rod, but an airplane that can comfortably take 60+ people out of a sub-4000’ runway is inherently pretty cool. Landing an older one (4 blade vs 6 blade props) is actually pretty different from landing a more modern one.

Ours had a prop brake on the right engine that we never used, but could stop the prop and use the engine as an APU during turns.

I never flew the Brasilia, but from comparison conversations with folks who had...the ATR is way slower, slightly more automated, but except at higher altitudes is an exceptional mover of people and cargo really efficiently. I should go track down old manifest copies or releases that could pin down fuel burns, because I remember them being absurdly low for how big that airplane is.
