ATPs Hiring Instructors

If you have your CFI, CFII, MEI its worth a shot.

Their instructors are getting hired faster than their Career Pilot Program can graduate instructors.

They're already taking people from their CFI program, and word on the street is they'll need to hire from outside to keep things running.

Best part its almost all ME time.

Never heard of ATP hiring off the street, especially when they have a bunch of instructors that they never hired to work there in the first place, that still work as instructors elsewhere, and need the multi-time.

One call to Ponte Verde to ask about sending in a resume would answer the questions

The ATP guys from Atlanta come in to the school I'm at regularly to use our Citation simulator, I'll try to corner one next time and ask.

Greg,
My question would be do those instructors have a current resume on file? If not, they've probably fallen off the radar. I remember reading that ATP did hire "off the street" prior to 911.

Very true, though if it were me, I'd keep my resume up to date, especially with the industry picking up a little. I know for sure that they used to take instructors even if they only did one rating there. Certainly worth checking out if you want the multi-time!

While the pay sucks, don't they let instructors live at the apartments for like $200/month? To get bills inlcuded (water, electricity, etc) and rent for that--not a bad deal, and to live on $800/month is doable, well I'm tight with money so I could do it.

Not sure if I'm accurate with the apt info, just what I believe I've read and heard.

For those past ATP students who still want a job... continue to send your resume in. As with any company, it is quite common for resumes to cycle to the bottom of the pile and never been seen again. Most companies will not go looking for you, they want you to come to them.

So send it again!

$1000/Month can be tough to live on depending on if you are making payments on education or car loans. The housing for $200 a month is GREAT. You just can't get a furnished apartment for that much.

It's a pretty good company to work for. They really wanna see you succeed.

Can you live on $1,000/month?

Heh, I've lived on $600/mo before. It's doable, you just can't have a lot of fun that costs money. You learn where the good, FREE stuff is.

Does anybody know if ATP is still hiring? And if so, do you apply for any ATP job and they place you? Or do you apply for a certain location?

You apply at ATP's HQ in JAX. If hired, then you would be in JAX answering phones while waiting for a location to free up. Yes, you can request a certain location but if you hold out for it you may be down in JAX for a while.
