ATP Written and prep for $150!

Everybody I've heard do ATP's test prep says its the best $300 they ever sent. Now it's the best $150 lol

I don't get how one day's worth of computer based studying will give you even a 10% increase in your probability of passing considering there are 1700 questions in the ATP written bank. You'd already need to be fairly knowledgeable goin in I think. CFI's would do well. But current 121 F/O's that have been right seat rotting for years are gonna need at least a week to prep for this written.

See, your first mistake is assuming that anything in the ATP written is actually practical knowledge.

The test is archaic. Very little about it has practical use today. The FAA spent forever updating their FOI test last year from their 1960s based Psychology text book. They should have worked on the ATP written more.

It is 528 Questions to memorize last I saw. Airline pilots, more than anyone, do the best on the test, with the vast majority scoring in the 90s. I have NEVER seen an airline pilot fail in my own personal experience: I probably proctored 500 tests in my years as an IP at ATP. I have never seen a military pilot fail either and think about this: Most military pilots have never taken an FAA test. Most say they have never looked at any prep before arriving.

Heck, I bet I have seen 2 failures total. One I remember well because he was an Asian guy who barely spoke English and I had to go and almost tackle him as went to throw the monitor out the window when he saw he failed!

The proposed ATP regs require a new ATP test to be created.

Sheppard Air has around 850 with a constantly changing database.

I did the ATP program a couple days ago and passed with a 94%. If you are a current airline FO that lives near an ATP location and is eligible for the $150 pricing, you would be a fool to go anywhere else.

I just got this done today at ATP DPA. Thanks to the OP for posting this deal.

I also got a 94%. I've never studied for the ATP written before this morning. There were 559 questions in the bank. 4 out of the 84 questions on the actual test are not actually part of it. So considering those, maybe there were a couple questions I don't remember and some that seem to have been worded slightly different on the actual test.

As a current 121 fo, you'll know a lot of it. Some of the performance, w&b, and flight planning are tedious. Like I care about the time, distance & fuel to climb chart of a turbojet I'll never fly. Or the weight and balance in an old Beech. But, it is what it is. Other parts of the test are a worthwhile refresher.
