ATP Success Stories

One the ATP site there were multiple peolpe being hired. How true is this? And, were they there for so long because they were instructing??

From my understanding, yes they were all instructors, and yes, they are true stories. When I was doing the MEI/II program, they were losing 2 or 3 people going to ExpressJet. It's definitely a good company to work for if you can get your foot in the door and if you can work for next to nothing.

All those people on the website are "real" people. I know a bunch of them personally and they all really did get hired on with the airlines. The time that they were in the program is listed. Most are between 15 to 20 months. That INCLUDES the time they were in the career pilot program (3 months generaly although some did the 10 month self paced program). Keep in mind also that most of the people that are on there had more then 700 hours of total time when they got hired. The minimums are continueing to come down and people will be getting hired in a shorter amount of time.

Thats what I figured. Sounds like a great program. I am currently in college, but am looking into it for post graduation. How hard is it to become an instructor after going through the 3 month program??

That's pretty much how I did it. I finished college and started the 90 day program 10 days later (I already had my PPL). As far as getting hired as an instructor.... It all depends on how fast the regionals are pulling out our senior instructors. Right now it's looking pretty good. 5 months from now... I don't know. According to "those who know" it should still be pretty good. So there ya go. Give the office a call (800-ALL-ATPS) they'll answer any questions.
