Hahaha..

Yeh, I guess that's an accurate portrayal.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had to keep my mind focused on the matter at hand.. Besides, toward the end I really had my hands full, I mean, between trying to learn the "moyer style" of soft field take offs and perfecting the mixture cut - power off 180's, I was a busy guy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Except for the citation ride I've finished the program. Check out the completed flight journal.

Thank's for keeping us up-to-date with your excellent journal, and congratulations! I can't wait to start the program in month. When are you going to do the Citation flight? Are you going to instruct for ATP now?

Could you tell me how much time you logged during your training at ATP (excluding PPL or Time building phase)?

How much...?

-Total Time
-Multi-Engine/Single Time
-PIC Time
-Cross Country
-Simulated/Actual Instrument

Sorry, I guess I have to make you pull out your logbook

Told the fiancée I would search for a job in MN first.

What part of MN? And what kind of job?

Minneapolis/Flight Instructor

I heard Cirrus in Duluth hires demo instructors but I'm sure I don't have the experience to qualify.

My girlfriend wants me to find a job in the MSP area. Not sure if I'll be able to do that since most jobs there require tons of time and experience, neither which I'll have in a year.

Doesn't Mesaba have a hub or concentration there? I don't know if that is even a choice for you, or you could just jumpseat if you get put in DTW. Good luck.

Yes, Cirrus will hire. A former CFI at my FBO now delivers new planes for Cirrus. They have a few pilot openings nwo according to their website:

Production Flight Test Pilot
Job Summary: Perform detailed preflight/in-flight inspections on all SR20 and SR22 aircraft components and operating
systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education
and experience. 1,000 hours total flight time. Commercial SEL/MEL, and instrument rating. Engineering, aircraft
maintenance, or quality assurance experience preferred.

Have you done any searching as of yet? At the field where I fly, the openings seem intermittent. Several CFI's where I fly recently got hired by a number of places, Mesaba, Pinnacle, AirNet, Cirrus Design, just to name a few. The strange thing was they were not replaced. There are only 5 CFI's and the chief pilot. This will indeed pick up in the summer because many student pilots it seems don't want to fly in the winter. I personally prefer the winter. The good thing is GA is indeed very popular here and there are several good size airports within the MSP Class 'B' area from which to fly. If you ever make it here, drop a PM.
