ATP In Vegas ?

I may or may not be interested in ATPs Airline Pilot Program :). It would be the 10 month self paced. I got the packet and it shows they have this program available here in Vegas. I would assume at VGT. Has anyone done it here before. If so how was it?
 
From what I heard it is the lack of approaches available during the day that holds it back. I might be wrong about this but I heard that much of the instrument approach work is done at night because of availability.
 
I know of one dude whose working as a driver and doing the self paced program, im assuming its good but I think don't quote me on that CFI students may have priority on a/c and CFI's.

How often does he get to fly? I hear about the ATP CFI program a lot just havent heard much about the Airline Pilot Career program coming out of Vegas.

Can you guess what the reason is? Besides Vegas is too much of a distraction might as well go some place quiet.

not too sure but hes moving on pritty well, I just see him and talk to him in the office when he's studying.


and nah its North Las Vegas theres not much of any distractions there. But from the apartments you do have a nice view of the strip which has tempted us or distracted us a fair ammount of times.
 
Nothing wrong with a quick trip to the strip :) . I got a great view from my condo. The ATP peeps are calling me daily. I still need to finish my ppl before I commit to spending the money for the program. So all in all it is do-able at VGT?

yes it is as I mentioned the perosn I knew was moving on pritty well with his checkrides and with his driving job. But going to other locations you can actually talk to and meet people in LAs people come and go quicker and are strssed from CFI checkrides. but yes its do able

and I encourage you look into other programs as well.

Sean, where are you working on your ppl? I'm probably going to go with the flight school at boulder.. cheaper than VGT, & closer to my house. I need to solo, and work on my cross countries...
