Going to be doing my ATP in Bowling Green soon and was looking for any personal experiences. Good or bad.

Great location!! I did the AACP there back in Nov of 2007. The DE is an awesome guy and will take you to lunch after most checkrides :). Apartments are close to the airport and a BW3's is within walking distance of them as well.

It is a slower location and the SIM is open all hours for practice approaches any time of the night.

Split Tree BBQ....I still have dreams of that place

I'm not sure who the instructor is right now, as they change quite often. I completed the Career Pilot Program at the BWG location in August of 2008. Great city, fun stuff when you need a break. DE around the area is Dave Southard (or at least it used to be). Dave is a huge asset to the program, and a great DE. Get to know Dave, and pick his brain as absolutely much as you possibly can. Good luck!

Well. I now have an ATP! The old instructor there has moved on to American Eagle. The current instructor is very professional and he was a pleasure to fly with. I did the 10 hour course. As you mentioned, Dave is a great guy as well. He made me feel at ease throughout the oral and the flight. All in all it was a very nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone who needs the ticket. The open SIM is a great part of their package at BWG too.

Thanks for the info guys! Appreciate it.
