ATP at CAE/Simuflite

Hello,
I am going to CAE/Simuflite in a few days for recurrent training. I am planning on doing my ATP ride while I'm there. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on the oral. From my understanding the ride is pretty much the same.

Thanks!

It has been a few years for me, but I did something similar but it was an initial type rating. The oral wasn't really any different except that they made me do it solo instead of with my sim partner.

I don't think there are any differences other than the can't retrain if you screw up in the sim, and the do a quick any worthless logbook review. If you do screw up in the sim I think the examiners are pretty clumsy so they drop their pencils a lot and have to go look for them.

Overall, I've had 2 bad experiences at CAE and really hope I'll be able to complete my training elsewhere in the future.

I did mine for LRJET initial. Just a normal oral. Think the only difference might have been a review of questions missed on your written, which in my case was one so it didn't take long. Oral was just about the aircraft and nothing else. Good luck!

Got my ATP on an initial course at CAE. Really no difference other than what was posted above about just doing it solo. Study the memory items, limitations, and aircraft systems are the main points i remember.

Each fleet has the one or two instructors that you hope to avoid, the rest it almost feels like stealing candy from a baby it's so easy.
