ATC internships

Hi everyone,

I am currently browsing aviation related internships for this summer, as I'd like to do something in my field instead of retail. The problem with these I've found is that some facilities either have them sometimes, or have never heard of the program. Do any controllers know about this program at their facilities or can help recommend the best people to contact? Not sure if it is the NATCA reps. or ATM etc.

Not sure about ZNY, JFK, or LGA, but here at N90 I haven't heard, or seen any interns.

RFD has one. I knew a guy from Lewis who did an intern there.

I'm pretty sure its something that the ATM requests, so the places that have them may change as upper level management moves on or retires. We had the same high school kid every summer for 3 years until he graduated and haven't had one after that. Kid had no desire to pursue a career in aviation either despite the ATM searching for a way to get him certified as an ATA,
