Does anybody know much about UND's ATC program? Furthermore, can ayone tell me some things about being an air traffic controller? Can I expect to find a job as being a controller shortly after graduating from college, (assuming that the F.A.A. is hiring

). Recently, I've had this desire to go into controlling rather than flying for a living...I think that ATC is a more stable career than flying, and I think that I'd enjoy it.

I can tell you one thing that I know and that one thing is...I have heard that ATC live a shorter lifespan than the average person because of the amount of stress in their job.

I looked into it, but you only have a one time shot at doing it for the FAA, when they call it's either yes or no and you probally never get another chance. That's one thing I didn't like about it.

I am an ATC major at UND (however I am considering switching to commercial aviation). If you have any specific questions feel free to post them or PM me and I'll get back to you.
