ATC flight deck training returns

I was in Rockaway. The rent in that building is now about 35% more than what I was paying. The rent at the apartment in Manchester has not changed much, but I also would not have gotten any raises while I was working there. Buying a house on my salary there would have been out of the question, even with a VA loan. NH touts itself as a low-tax state until you realize they nickle and dime you for everything the government does provide (tolls, vehicle registrations, parking, etc) and the property taxes are akin to NYC metro area.
Depends where you live- vs NJ vs NH saves me about 30k a year.

3BR house on .3acres in Cherry hill was $11,000 a year property tax. Up here in Meredith, 6Br, 3.5 Bath on 5 acres is $5000.

No income tax, and no capital gains is big enough. Car registration is a pain, but there’s no tax on a new car so it’s a wash. No sales tax is massive honestly. .75 for the hookset plaza is annoying, but that’s still pretty far below national averages.

What we lose are sidewalks and public transit etc.
