Sorry man you tried to take a short cut path and got burned. As said before its a good lesson in not paying for everything up front. If a flight school ever asks you for the cost of everything upfront run like hell! Its a good lesson though that nothing in aviation is certain. Flight schools can be here today gone tomorrow and you dont want to be left holding all that debt with nothing to show for it.

Exactly right. People can train the way they want, who are ANY of you to say otherwise?

Um we ALL are suffering due to these PFT programs. Because of the message it sends to management when pilots are willing to pay out of pocket to fly in a supposed-to-be-paid pilot positon.

This "I don't know any better" crap is some modern excuse for everything someone does that they later find out they will pay for. Oh, I killed that guy, but really, I didn't know it was illegal to murder! Oh, ok, well since you didn't know, then that's ok. Don't do it again.

Give me a break. If you want to drop $100,000 into one of these PFT schemes, don't come crying when you get burned. You WILLINGLY handed your money over to these people. It was a gamble. "A fool and his money are soon parted." Who said that originally?

$100,000 is a HUGE amount of money. H-U-G-E. The things I could do with that much money. If you are going to spend that kind of cash, I REALLY hope you'd do your homework. Hell, I do my homework on purchases over $100! This is 1000 times as much money!!!

Thomas Tusser said that...

he also said these two lovely quotes

"Sweet April showers do spring May flowers."

"Who quick be to borrow and slow be to pay, their credit is naught, go they ever so gay."

beyond that...
i've also heard versions like "A fool and his money are soon parted, but seldom by another fool"

Some people have no time to go surfing around the internet all F'ing day like some of us do. You all seem to think everybody is on the "net" these days. Sorry to bust your bubble guys, but many people revert back to the "good ol days" and go the book/magazine route. You think the magazines are telling people to stay away from PFT? Hell no, they want the advertising money. Im sick of seeing people act rude and jump on the "you are a dumb ass if you went PFT route", when the same person saying it probably would have gotten their ass taken from them if they were not lucky enough to stumble across this or a similar website.

Ok, so these people start surfing the web for answers only after they've been screwed?
