At what age did you move out of your parents' house?

finished high school, went to East Africa for 7 weeks, decided to travel, lived with dad a couple months, went to Mexico, came back, got apt., left when the lease was up, moved to another town just a couple hours away, moved back to hometown, back in with dad, started flight training, and started college at the local CC.

Would like to move out, but it just doesn't make sense. I've lived with my dad since I was 15 and it's bee like living with a roomate the whole time.lol, and as we all know, flying and college ain't cheap.

16 for me, but it was my family that moved and I just didn't go with them. I think it's great to stay home for a few years if you can, as long as your goal is to work hard and save up for your future and not to just take advantage of your parents and not have to work.

moved out when i was 18, back home at 23 for about 3 months, out again, back home for a couple of weeks inbetween each of my apartments.

17.5 when I left for college....18 years ago... Pay them a visit now on leave and after returning from remote assignments/deployments,

17.

Never moved back in except for about two weeks after college.

17.5 to go to the Air Force Academy (so do I call that "to join the Air Force" or "to go to college"?) Haven't been back since, and that was 12 years ago, so in all likelyhood, I'll never go back.

ummmm. easier said then done. How much was your first apartment. Did you pay for everything?
Let's say that I paid with blood, sweat and tears. Applications being accepted daily. Classes start weekly. Wanna man up?

First day of the worst 90 days of my life :(
I had the footprints all the way to the front, second row back on the far left hand side

worst 90 days? is boot camp that difficult? i mean, not to say it didn't look like a party was going on in "private benjamin"....:)

AF basic training was a tea party for 6 1/2 weeks (minus time spent away from significant other). . . my 8 month tech school following it was more painful.

LMAO . . . I'd not go through it again, even if it meant that I had to die.

What was even worse? Being in the Infantry Training Battalion at the School of Infantry!!!

My parents moved to California when I turned 18, I was working and stayed in Phoenix and got an apartment with a buddy of mine. I haven't lived with the parents since then.

I would say get out as soon as possible, it will make you grow up real fast. Its also a good feeling to look around and know everything around you is yours, and you make the rules.

18 and out the door to become a university man. Came home for holiday breaks and summer. Was always ready to go back to school.
