AT-SAT scheduling question

I know most PUBNAT 8 people are awaiting the email from Robinson to schedule the test. My question for those in the past are about the testing options. Do they give you just one day to test at your closest testing center or are there several days spread out over a long period of time? I only ask because of course I have a trip coming up in the end of september that I planned over a year ago but it seems like we might be testing around then. I will miss the trip of course but just wanted to see what my chances are. Would they let you travel farther away to get a different test date?
 
They give you a spread of days.....if I remember right, I had three days to choose from. It really depends on location of the test.....good luck.

There are many days to pick from. I took it in Chicago and had 12 days to choose from, Mon-Sat for 2 weeks. There were lots of people who traveled from pretty far away, so I'm sure Robinson will work with you if you need a specific day that is only avaliable somewhere else.
 
so anyone know about when we should be getting the notice for the test? I've already been approved or whatever for the test. on average how long does it normally take to get the notification?

I would like to give you some sound advice that will save you some agony through this process. Albeit advice that I find hard to follow sometimes....hehe. If I were to do it all over again, I would just sit back and wait for them to call....it will happen, but it will be on their time. Learn how to wait, because you're going to do alot of it. However, to fancy your question.....you will find out that Robinson Aviation is fairly efficient at getting things done....in fact getting notified that you are able to test, scheduling the test, and testing is the fastest part of the process.....each step after that takes increasingly longer. (Step B is longer than A, Step C is longer than B, etc....) I think I remember it taking about two to three weeks for me to get my authorization email from RVA.....good luck dude!

i'm already prepared to wait..i know it'll take a long time. just wondering so i know how much time i might have to go through the atc practice test book i just got....
 
I tested in Baltimore - I was given 5 days to chose from - I think they had about 50 stations (split bet 2 rooms).
wannabeatc - take a look at my signature - that should give you a timeline - hopefully you guys will be thru faster than us - unless they combine you with another announcement. good luck
 
A fellow PUBNAT 8er. I read a good deal of these posts but get immensely confused the deeper I get. I'm still waiting for the test date myself but leaving for a wedding in Charlotte next week. I'm actually hoping the test date comes later rather than sooner. Do you have any idea how much warning you get before the actual dates?...praying it's not an email saying' "Hey, by the way you need to test either tomorrow or the day after."
 
For me, I was "authorized" to test on October 29th, I got the email to call robinson and schedule the monday after thanksgiving, and I took the test on January 9th, I had a choice of any day that week. But I read about ppl who were authorized the same day and tested mid-december. I would say you are looking at a month and a half to 3 months between authorization and testing.

about 2 months here
 
I was authorized in March. The last week in May I received an email to schedule the AT-SAT, and took the test the last week in June (I had a choice of 6 days).
 
I remember with pub 2 about four weeks after authorization, I have gotten a e-mail and the test was another four weeks until I took my test, I remember there was 29 stations in one room, but it was spread oer 5 days in Daytona.

Reaper,

What happen with other pubnats and being denied? Did you pick states with no openings or was it something else? If it was the states what ones did you pick?
