ASA Vietnam base

Eh, CEO over here said that one of the things they're trying to work out with Delta and the LGA stuff is getting our non rev benefits back up to par with the other connection carriers. Like every other rumour, ESPECIALLY from management, I'll believe it when I see it. Management guys were the ones that were saying we'd have a contract by the end of the month to every new hire class since March of 06. When we DID get a TA, some of them were even telling junior FOs "You'll be furloughed if this doesn't pass." I have zero faith in management spawned rumors.

The management-pilot relationship difference between PNCL and ASA is like night and day. From what I heard the pre-Skywest era at ASA was much more like how you guys have it at PNCL.

Back during the George and John days, (pre wholly owned,) it bordered on open, schorched earth warfare. It did get better with the buyout.

It's more a management starts rumors at ANY airline (not just here) almost as much as MX and check airmen.

Any chief pilot you ask will confirm this. I don't know what they would have to gain from a joke like that.

I'm getting flashbacks to that story about the CA you were flying with that had the uncontrollable poop attack.

"so, here's how it started...we were at an oyster bar and the CA said, try this!..."

Now I don't profess to know anything about ASA and how they think management wise, but would it not be more likely they would start this as an independent entity under a different certificate vs. running it under ASA? Would it be more cost effective to staff the operation with local labor including pilots vs. importing Americans who will have to have what..a JAA or ICAO or something?

You guys might want start giving quadruple7 a little more cred. This is another one of his rumors that will come true.

This flying is for a totally different company that is only now in the start-up process. Actually, they are still awaiting government approval. Skywest Inc. is backing them, but the credit belongs to BH. It's his baby, thus ASA is involved. Because the airline is in the beginning phases they recruited the help of ASA, which includes airframes (900's), help with logistics, and pilots (for the mean time). 18 month coma's will be offered for those ASA pilots lucky enough to bug out.

In little league I was told to "swing at everything, you're bound to hit something." Sometimes I think airline rumors are the same; with enough floating around, one's got to happen.

Even if nothing has happened. Let's just say it did.

Hey - guess what - a CRJ-200 banged into an air cart about 3 minutes ago.
