ASA Starting Pay?

So I went down to ATL and they had me do all my background check auth. paperwork. You know the typical 14 pages you have to date and sign for any company. Did Fingerprinting and DOT Drug Test. All my friends and family are telling me I've got the job. I'm extremely superstitious so I'm afraid to be excited just yet because I haven't been told "Welcome aboard". I'll post another update if I hear anything.

Def sounds promising, did the interview go well? Keep us posted

He had a list of 'canned' questions attached to my resume. He told me 'I think our interview on the phone went so good, I'm not worried about using these'. And just took that page off my Res and put it to the side. He mentioned he uses them only if he needs to get something out of someone when he isn't quite satisfied with the persons phone interview. We pretty much just had a casual conversation.

Was a real relief compared to the 4 person panel I had to sit in front of for the Compass interview. I was waiting any minute for him to say. 'Okay, let's head down to the room for the interview. Everyone is down there and ready'. So after talking about everything from Non-Rev adventures, Jumpseating, the company's past and what's in store for the future with the merger. Then he said 'alright I'll take you down to HR so they can do what they need to'.

I also got called for a Skywest interview last week. Just actually got my travel info today to show up on May 5th. I just hope I get the job offer from ASA before then because I really don't feel like flying out to LAS. Having to get my suit together again. Just to get butterflies about potentially sitting in front of another 3 or 4 person panel.

I'll keep you updated.

That up there ^ was just posted today. So that's where I'm at with them right now. Awaiting results from DOT Drug Test and Background Check (I have no worries)

Update: I was given a job offer which I accepted. However I will be hired as a Express Jet Dispatcher mainly because they did not get their combined Operating Certificate at the time they had hoped. So I will start in Houston on a temporary assignment and then when the Operating Certificates merge it will be time to go to A-Town. I'm so excited to get out of Philly. Born and raised here 23 years. Can't wait to learn new City and Company :-D :-)

2 weeks in ATL starting on May 23rd. Consisting of HR Orientation, Basic Indoc, Security, Hazmat, E145 Ground School, Dispatch Mgmt Resource. Go to IAH on June 3rd for a month of OJT. Comp checks should be complete no later than July 1st. From what I'm hearing our TDY should be done in August. Then time to go back to ATL permanently.

Talked with alaska dispatcher, they start out at $20/hr and in 11 year they get up to $54/hr. There will be few more position opening in near future since they getting 15 more new airplanes and some dispatchers will retire, but mostly they hire from inside the company so there is low low chance that they will go for people outside the company.

Wow that's one of the better pay scales I've seen, so it takes them 11 yrs to top out. Wonder how many dispatchers they have working on the ramp waiting to get their chance, seems like a great company to work for, heard nothing but good things, if you can handle the Seattle wx.
