ASA Recalls All?

You don't need to say a name and I know who you talking about. Type of person that can set a record for grievances filed in groundschool LOL

lmfao

Your Ego again...

Who is he talking about?

Just say it, get it out there, don't be coy. Or will you spit out some nonsense and you're afraid of what more people would think about you <name removed>?

I have far more respect for those who supported the furloughed pilots by approving the assistance, but I also have much more respect for my fellow furloughed pilots than to take part in the COBRA assistance since I have a working spouse with health benefits.

Don't you or anyone else mistake that for being un-thankful for the assistance provided to the 135 other pilots who may or may not have taken part in your assistance. Take it for me not feeling it appropriate for me - a person who has the means otherwise - to take something from someone who may need it far more than I do.

Acting childish is telling your fellow pilots "thanks for nothing and screw you" on the ALPA boards, after furlough assistance gets voted through. Then, 8 months later, reappearing as if nothing happened.

Who did that?

Serious issue if someone is running their lips like that.

Although we do have quite a few members in our peer group who fail to recognize when a group is trying to help them out.

You can respond in PM if you'd like, but I'd really like to know who else needs a nice swift kick in the ass.

Someone who should buy a vowel.

Taking it personal there? My Ego? You don't need to talk about spitting out nonsense with the trash you put out, especially on ourasa. And no need to call your name out because its titled right there for the whole company to see. "I'm a bit embarrassed" LMAO. You should be......

Here comes the wanna be politically-correct Surreal post with a 3 word sentence in each paragraph.

I'm embarassed that our company has a 500 aircraft goal, flying across 50 states...

I know why that doesn't bother you since you know you'll make it to a major and will eventually be in that 777 you always wanted to fly.

For me, I don't know if I'll make it to a major if the current trend continues.

Don't mistake my "I'm embarassed" remark regarding our company's outlandish vision and industry goals as being un-thankful for Furlough Assistance. Which someone else tried to lay on me as well, which is quite false as previously explained.

Thats mistake #1 - on your part.

Mistake #1 on my part is always giving you the benefit of the doubt, because I do believe deep down you'll come to realization that many of us in this profession have already arrived at.

No, no political correct post from Surreal. I explained why my "I'm embarrased" was said in the first place, and it had absolutely nothing to do with furlough assistance, but nice attempt at correlating. Our company's outlandish corporate goals are not necessarily something someone who wants to make it to a major should be jumping up and down giddy about.

Less mainline jobs means less earning potential. The End.

Tell me I'm way out in left field on this too and I'll shut up, but I have a hard time believing that you don't see the negative impacts of our leaderships' corporate growth plan and how it will impact our career opportunities.

You have NO ANALYTICAL ability whatsoever. Hope you not getting a degree in anything Business or Finance related. Anybody knows that the regional industry is a shrinking industry and that the companies which survive will grow by TAKING flying from or ACQUIRING companies that will not survive.

You should not be embarrassed about your company taking the initiative to become a leader in a shrinking market enabling YOU to get back on the line, upgrade, and eventually get out to bigger and better things. Get off that militant, anti-company peddle stool and take a drink out of the fountain of common sense!

You go from "I'm embarrassed" with the new brand to "Wonderful News" as soon as recalls announced. What's it gunna be Mr (See I don't need to call your name out to try to be cool)?

You telling me an individual should not be happy to see his peers returning to work? You haven't been furloughed, so I can't expect you to relate to the emotions felt by those 56 and eventually the 42 guys and girls returning to the line. They're damn excited, as are all of us. Even though 96 of us most likely won't be back until the summer of 2011 if not later (none of us are holding onto any Trip7 rumots of being back by the end of the year...).

Hey, you may be right Marcus. Perhaps we'll just absorb all the other regionals operating for Delta and United Express and we'll reach that 500 aircraft total. I'll hand that to you. Suppose if I had an Aviation Management degree too I'd see it that way, but my BS in Political Science - International Affairs doesn't really yield itself to analyzing the jackrabbit ideas of managers of a sub-contracting aviation industry. That's why I fly (because I dont want to run the company), still put the military uniform on (international affairs and being led by politicians), and finally exercise my political hobbies away from the "Company" (local politics).

Did you guys have some conference call w/ SH today?

They did. Haven't gotten the details of the call yet though.

Some haven't even received their FedEx paperwork, but that's likely associated with the long weekend.

Hell no Im not telling you to not be excited about your co-workers getting back to work. Its just hypocritical to be bashing your management's efforts to get you guys back to work, then jump up and down clapping your hands when just a small part of those plans results in bringing 42 people back.

As far as holding onto "Trip7" rumots about furloughs coming back, they're not really my rumots since nearly all the info I get can easily be obtained in the public or by emailing someone in the management team. Everyone thought Vietnam was some top secret inside info when it wasn't. If you were fortunate enough to work Christmas Day and have a long break in the lounge you could have sat and chatted with the COO and he would have told you himself!

And stop being so pessimistic and depressing bro. First you proclaimed that no one would be recalled til Spring 2011. Now with 42 recalls you say the rest of you won't be here til Spring 2011. Chill. You and the rest will be here this fall. Welcome back.

ATLANTA, GA, Jun 01, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. /quotes/comstock/15*!skyw/quotes/nls/skyw (SKYW 13.68, -0.99, -6.72%) , is recalling 42 pilots in June as it adds four CRJ700 aircraft to its fleet. The additional aircraft will be integrated into Atlantic Southeast's Delta Connection program.
According to Brad Holt, president and COO, "Expanding our fleet and recalling pilots now is a testament to Atlantic Southeast people's hard work and dedication to positioning our airline well as a strong business partner."
Atlantic Southeast furloughed 136 pilots in 2009 due to the unprecedented economic downturn that impacted domestic capacity.
Holt continued, "This recall is a step in the right direction, and Atlantic Southeast will continue working to find more opportunities for growth so that we can get all of our furloughed pilots back flying with us as soon as possible."

About Atlantic Southeast Airlines: Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., operates more than 800 daily flights using its all-jet fleet to 113 airports in 31 U.S. states, District of Columbia, Bahamas, Canada and Jamaica. Just understand that I'm not the individual that gets his or her hopes up, that's all I'm saying.

Best to set the proper mental expectation and have it blown out of the water by over delivery. I'm sure they mentioned something along those lines in your business courses.

Under promise, over deliver?

Further, I think it'd be fair now to recognize that a good bit of the things I say may get lost in translation.
