ASA/ExpressJet

Where were u based? In IAH we were hurting bad - and I used to know the contract well. We have a lot more soft money in our contract, it wasn't my $56 an hour that made me make more.

Based in DTW on the 200. Almost every month was an 11 day off, 95 hour line. I think I finished with at least 100 hours of credit 6 months of the year. My best month was over 150 hours.

Gotcha. I turned a 14-16 day off line into an 11-12 day off line. Halfway through the year I was on pace for something impressive but that came to a grinding halt last year.....

Easy, enhanced work rules, better pay, industry leading 401K match, etc...

Seggy, you think you know what you're talking about, but you're a little out of touch. There's a strategy, and it's going to play out.. Our management just boned themselves bringing up the request for concessions. I have never seen our pilot group so united in this fight. FUPM.

You should go back then! Who in their right mind would want to do 23 hour overnights in RSW? Not this guy...

No, I am telling it as it is, even though that is not what people want to hear. The ASA/XJT group had a great opportunity in late 2010/early 2011 to get this deal done, but were playing games over legacy contractual issues instead of actively working together, leaving differences at the door, to get a joint deal done.

There's a strategy, and it's going to play out.

How does the fact that XJT has had three MEC Chairs in less than three years play into that strategy? How does the fact that y'all have over 300 obsolete 50 seaters flying around play into that strategy? How does the fact that another ALPA Carrier had a horrific contract literally shoved down their throats at Pinnacle that set the 'new' standard play into that strategy?

Our management just boned themselves bringing up the request for concessions.

Once again, they can always shift the flying over to Skywest. Am I the only one who sees this??????

I hope so.

Skywest can win new RFP's, and XJT can shrink because CPA's expire, but if there are any aircraft moved from one company to another, the pilots must go with them per the transition agreement.

Or Skywest can create a different holding company for XJT/ASA, bankrupt that holding company and then the transition agreement can be worked around.

The problem is that since the current rates are far above regional industry average, no arbitration will help. The NMB won't release you to a strike if they find your requests to be far above industry average, so...what's next?

I think that if a contract can't be reached, Jerry Atkin will just allow that side to shrink as people leave, and eventually it will shut down. That's just my opinion though.

Get out if you can! Anyone trying to make a career there is in for a seriously rough ride.
