ASA/ExpressJet

I have an interview with them early next month, hopefully they still need a few spots in some classes to fill. I have ATP mins +
 
Hearing rumors of more classes being added than originally announced. Not sure of the truth though... (new hire classes) Welcome aboard folks. We desperately need you!! (erj)
 
I'm calling on Monday, see what happens... hopefully the sim instructors won't set 3/4 of our class up for failure like the last place did... grrr

Sources!? Reserve for me (ERJ) seems like its gunna hit two years if we don't get some people here!

Nothing from anyone "official" Just hearsay around the crewroom. Hang in there. You will move up. 2 years is nothing compared to those that spent 5 plus years recently on reserve.

I go back and forth about it. Would it have been worse to commute to reserve for a few more years, or be unable to find any work during the recession? I, along with many of my colleagues, was able to use school as a shelter from the economy. I'm sure there are guys that were furloughed from XJT that were never able to find meaningful work while they were out.

Looking at ASA/XJT as a place to go when I make the jump to 121 so up to date info would be nice.

I interviewed Feb 13th with four others. One was rejected within 3 days, another after a couple weeks...the other three of us got hired, two on Friday (one into an ERJ class, the other notified by email that they are in the pool) and I just got the call yesterday. I'm in the April 8 ERJ class. There are currently two ERJ classes going with at least one CRJ class that I know of being full already. Nothing like waiting nearly a month to hear...o_O
