ASA/ExpressJet hiring

My understanding is up to 10 slots, but I believe there are many internal candidates applying. Good luck to all.

This likely will be a class with a good amount of experience. They want one final class (obviously there will be more classes due to typical attrition) with experience (fast learners) to knock down AM shift to 60 flights due to Aerodata rollout exponentially increasing workload.

What kind of experience? Dispatch?

I thought regionals were for people who just got their license? I do understand there are people who are out of work as dispatchers and looking but how is someone suppose to gain experience? .

Regionals are the most common place for new dispatchers to start, but you will also find people with experience applying and working there.

This is quite true, after one airline I was at went out of business, the regionals were the only airlines hiring - and everyone in my class had dispatch experience (although there were only three of us in the class.)

As is the case for me and why I'm now interviewing at regionals :-)

Is ExpressJet getting any new aircraft soon? I thought I heard they are getting E170/190s and the Mitsubishi Jets....

I am confused.....did they not get enough applications? Why was it reopened??

Does that mean since I have no experience, I will not get an interview?
