Forgive me guys, I'm late getting into this one, just got a few days off and I'm putting off Christmas shopping.
Giving Kellwolf a lump of coal![]()
YAY! As of right now I'm home reserve on Xmas day. Seeing as how I'm gonna still be staring down the barrel of 30/7 then (I'm gonna be at 29.0 after tomorrow), they'll probably escalate me to RR and leave me at the airport even though I wouldn't be legal for anything other than a DH or a flight to HSV.
Eh. I'm working 23 through 25. Reserving 26-27. Just got done with IOE so I'm getting the use and abuse as well![]()
Wow. I thought you'd at least be senior enough as an -900 FO to hold a crappy line. That sucks, man. Those bells and whistles confusing you, yet?![]()
Was that the juice for your downgrade? Just having a schedule? How's the pay difference?
Juice? I do have a schedule for a bit, until I'm furloughed of course. Pay sucks.
"Sucks" is subjective. Sucks compared to Saab CA. Not too bad compared to 9E FO.![]()
For the 500th time, "YOU CANNOT COMPARE MILITARY FLIGHT TRAINING TO CIVILIAN TRAINING"
It's like comparing the merchant marine academy to a boater safety course. Every time you make that argument you lose all your credibilty.
Civilian trained pilots need lots of experiance in order to make up for the lack of screening and low standards required for the FAA certificates.
Do you even realize how cocky, arrogant and entitled you sound. Talk about losing credibility. You realize you just stated all civilian trained pilots barely meet the FAA's low standards. I really hope its just a phrasing thing, because if its not, I hope I never have to fly with you.
'His analogy is perfect, actually.
Once you go from part 91, to 135, to 121 and then start studying part 91 stuff again you begin to realize that the part 61 training rules, and part 91 operating rules are just a shell of part 135 and 121 structure.
'
..I'm frankly tired of every pilot I meet being a cocky, mouthpiece who thinks he's somehow better than every other pilot.
I am sad to have to admit that just the other day a friend asked me what annoyed me the most about my job and my truthful answer was " Pilots."
Btw.....I'm better.
No surprise though, what with the number of Type A personalities that come with this profession? Sad state of affairs, I agree, but one that would be difficult to eradicate.
Btw.....I'm better.![]()
So true..lol, I know we are all guilty, :insane: never met a pilot that was type B
.I'm frankly tired of every pilot I meet being a cocky, mouthpiece who thinks he's somehow better than every other pilot.
You won't hear that attitude coming from me.
I wasn't trained by the military (to fly anyway) and I probably wouldn't have met their standards if I had tried. I now have a reasonable amount of flight time, and now realize how little I know. Since my training was barely aduequate, it took a large amount of flight time to develop my skills to become a safe pilot.
It goes so well with the spkey hair, backpack and ipod![]()
I'd love to have my spikey hair back, or rather my hair period, Mullets rule:insane:.....lol And I carry a discman dangit...:rotfl:
You want to go old school, go for the Walkman....or even better, go '70s and stroll through the terminal with the boom box over the shoulder![]()
