I took an ARFF class through Riddle and I have to say that line of work is very interesting and challenging to say the least...

What makes it interesting work is that on smaller airports, you will actually be involved with other things--We do operations on our airport as well as ARFF duties so we do things like Snow removal. I just completed my first snow removal operation as a Chief Officer this last blizzard and it was interesting to say the least. I would have never thought that there were strategy and tactics to remove snow from a runway.
