Are aviation classes mostly held in the evening?

Last semester, I had a PPL ground school class at my community college that I signed up for. However, that class was in the late afternoon (4pm to 5:15pm). When I looked at other classes such as the CPL ground school class, it was from like 6pm to 9pm or something. The aerodynamics class is from 4pm to 5:40pm. So is it true that aviation classes are evening classes or is that only true in my community college? Thoughts?

Daytime will generally be utilized by the flight portion of the courses, ground wil be done at night when the instructors and students aren't flying.

I had some during the evening, mostly the courses that would have appealed to everyone, not just syllabus students. Probably allows PPL type folks who have day jobs to take them after work

What about ground school classes at well known aviation colleges such as ERAU and UND? Do they have classes at night as well? What about daytime?

What specifically are you talking about, part 141 or 61?

Not so sure. The course description in my community college never mention what part it is using. I think it is you take a PPL ground school class and take flight lessons at your own time.

Most of the classes (aviation and gen ed) at IND State are mornings/midday. Most students then try to cram in flying from 2:30-6pm. We are also a "suit-case" school so nearly every weekend the airport is a ghost town, which is a bummer when the weather is nice.

Embry Riddle (Daytona) seems to teach all the ground school classes during the day. Basically, take your pick on the times, and you can probably find a class during that time.

Previously, I attended the University of Central Missouri. Not sure if they still do it, but I took private ground school from like 6-8PM, twice a week. Was a nice change, to get out of the early morning classes. Not for everybody, but seemed to work well.
