Approach chart NOTAM

The chief instructors I've asked here are baffled, so perhaps someone on this board can tell me the answer to this question.

Our home airport has a NOTAM out changing the circling minima for all the approaches to this airport. This NOTAM has been out for over 1.5 years now, and has still not been incorporated into the published approach procedures, Jepp or NACO. Why on earth would something remain as a NOTAM for so long, rather than just being published on the charts?

!FDC 7/4207 GGG FI/T EAST TEXAS REGIONAL, LONGVIEW, TX.
ILS OR LOC RWY 13, AMDT 12...
VOR/DME OR TACAN RWY 13, AMDT 1...
VOR/DME OR TACAN RWY 31, AMDT 7...
VOR A, ORIG...
CIRCLING MDA 860/HAA 495 CATS A/B/C.

It looks like it is indeed a temporary NOTAM. I guess then the question becomes, who determines whether it is published as T or P? And how long will this NOTAM languish in the system before someone finally cancels it (not happening if the obstacle is still there) or changes it to a P?

Could have been a mistake or they might have been led to believe that the obstacle would be removed at some point. Give the Ft. Worth Flight Procedures Office a call on Monday:

Office: (817) 838-1900

Ask for a "procedures specialist" and ask him to explain. They probably can fix it for you if the change in minimums is permanent. Please report back.

KBFI has had a similar NOTAM for a long time. I figured it was a construction crane or something that entered one of the imaginary surfaces.

LGA physically moved their VOR a year ago and the charts haven't been updated yet (ie LGA 1 departure). On the Korry 3 PROUD is no longer usable according to NOTAM but unless you query the controllers they send you there. I used to ask them but I gave up, I could care less now...been that why a while and they all seem to ignore the NOTAM.

Also look at the Eldee 3 into DCA. A lot of ASAP's at my company over that one.

Beyond ridiculous.

The ELDEE3 needs to be taken out back and shot. I applaud the initial change they made that routes arrivals up the river to if they are landing south, but the stupid step down fixes (and all the changes they keep making to them) are a mess.

ATC still thinks the turn for the Whitestone climb needs to be made at 2.5 as well...

Really? I've never heard that, and it's still in the notams for 2.9 DME (or at least it was last time I flew there)
