Well, I should have enough multi by the end of the month to start sending out applications to most of the regionals, but know I have a problem.....I am getting married in early november. I am worried that If I apply in august, hopefully get on by the end of august, that I will be in the mix of training etc....when my wedding date comes around.

I was wondering if anyone else had something like this come up? I sure dont want to wait until mid november to send out apps if I meet the mins solidly at the end of July! Is this something an airline can usually work with if I let them know up front?

I thought that most training programs went about 2 months..accuarate?

Thanks.

Sometimes, you apply and get the call in 7 hours!!

Shoot my brotha, Ain't nobody that good...... ;)

As to the original poster, be ready to go when you apply. Some may be understanding, but the way that most are hiring now, they may just say, "Next" if you start asking for accommodations....

Congrats on the wedding though!!!!

definetly wait, I had the same situation and lost a chance at an airline because I had to put them off due to a wedding. Wait till you are ready.

It actually worked out for the better for me!

You know, on second thought, the Vegas thing is a brilliant idea!

A wedding is nothing more than an overglamourized ring ceremony. Grab some pals, head to Vegas, party up, giterdone! :)

Kristie and I had a wedding in LAS and I really don't think there's a stigma at all, considering we've outlasted a lot of "Big Church, White Horse-drawn Carriage Wedding" marriages.

Absolutely. Additionally, you'll be a HERO to her Dad for saving him a boatload of money.

Of course, her Mom will be chapped. But, hey, no one is everything to everyone.

We had ours at the Mandalay Bay in LAS. It was a good time and worked well.

It didn't cost an arm and a leg nor did we have to entertain our guests before/afterwards because money was burning up everyone's pockets.

I think it's safe to say that if marriage was left to the guys, it would always involve 30 minutes and a trip to Vegas. Unfortunately, the chick doesn't always think that's such a hot idea...

I'm a chick, but I agree with you. IF I ever did it again -- which I'm NOT, that would be the way I'd go. If friends and relatives wanted to take part -- fine, if not -- oh well -- catch you after the honeymoon!! :D

You may want to wait out the first 6 months - 1 year in the airlines before you get married. Make sure everything is still peachee with you gone so much. Just an opinion!!!

I agree, unless you already know that she's an independent woman who doesn't mind time alone. I'd then fly to Hawaii, or some place similar, to get hitched. You can always have a big party for family and friends later.

I like the vegas idea , unfortunately - I think she has done too much planning and reserving to move it now. Im trying to convince her that we can save money on airfare if she pushes the date back:) She didnt find the idea to amusing, oh well.

Thanks for all the responses.
