Private pilots can get a flight instructor cert. that will allow them to instruct sport pilots. So would you consider them to be a commercial pilot since they would be doing commerce?

flight instructing is acting as a commercial pilot. you are getting paid to fly that aircraft i do not get how that is hard for anyone to see. You can flight instuct with no medical as long at the student is rated in that category and class of aircraft.
