AOPA in the pejorative sense

JC ACE e-mails are coming in faster than duplicate AOPA mailings. Is this something to expect as the final days wind down?

Reminder emails are normal for group events such as this, besides, every email that I have received has contained different information....:dunno:

Yes. We need to make sure you have information in your hands as we are not responsible if you don't have your ducks ready to go.

Plus its part of the promotion and advertising process to get those on the fence over the fence and coming to the function.

you do have the option to opt-out if you like.

Naw, I don't wanna opt out. I don't get many e-mails these days. :D

Two weeks ago I was 70/30 I'm attending. Today I'm 80/20. I gots to get to SoCal for personal reasons and I'm trying to figure how to schedule ACE with what I have to do. 60% of the time I'm right 100% of the time.

see right there....you're one of the guys we have to get off the fence....expect more constant contact HAHAHA ;)

60% of the time you're right 100% but that means you're actually wrong 100% of the time because you're using percentiles to fudge your guesstimate :p

I'm trying to avoid another year of "Whut are we doing? Lolz" calls like in other years.

We have to plug the event because were significantly over budget and need to get more people (and exhibitors) off their rumps to sign up.

If the publicity is annoying you, please opt out of the email, but we gotta hype the event massively.

Those calls usually have more with alcohol consumption rather than actually not knowing. :D

I get emails like "i want to work for Delta, is the career fair for me?"

Ummm, no. Avoid a career fair that your preferred employer is going to attend. Bad idea! :sarcasm:

Or "I'm not going to know anyone!"

Oh don't get me started!

The google voicemails are the best, "I uhh have some huh questions about the event can you uhhhh call me uhhh back?"

Can ya just ask? :)

I despise calls which desire to obligate me to call them back. In fact, such calls just guaranteed I will not.
