Hey, hope this is in the right place to ask, not really a direct medical question.

Need to get a new medical (2nd class is all I need), and was wondering if any of you guys had gotten yours in Phoenix area. In the past, I've had some rather interesting experiences with AME's, good and bad equally. So, if anyone had one there and may have a recomendation, I will very much appreciate it.

PS> If anyone is in Phoenix this weekend (departure date is undetermined for me yet), I would be happy to grab something to eat or drink. Schedule should be wide open.

I've heard enough good about Dr. Forred that I'm considering going to him next time around even though I live in ABQ.

I went to him when I lived in Phoenix, easiest medical ever, and the Online appointment system makes it even easier to get a new medical.

sky_captn I live in Albany, NY and I two leg it to Dr. Forred. As long as he is an AME he will have my business. Short story, I was offered an interview on a Friday afternoon for Monday morning. I was told I needed to have a current First class. Knowing that the chances of me getting a medical that afternoon was going to be next to impossible I called his office. His assistant Patti picked up and said he wasn't going to be in until Monday afternoon. I explained that I was about a 4 hour drive out and if the doc could see me any time before Sunday afternoon it would be greatly appreciated. She said she would leave him a message. He calls me about an hour later saying he finishes with his resident students at the hospital that evening and if I met him at his office he would be more than happy to see me. This is one small story to a bunch of great stories I have about the doc and Patti. The two of them do more for pilots on any given day then anyone I have ever worked with. I just hope he continues giving medicals for the next 32 years. :)
