post what type of education you have:

Professional Aviation Degree
Bachelor's Degree, non aviation related, if so in what field
Associates Degree
No Degree
Other, if so, elaborate.

TIA, this can potentially have influence on my decisions over the next few weeks.

I did my flying at befa.org a flying club has an initial buy in, and a monthly fee. The hourly rates are much cheaper, since they are non-profit.

Bachelors degree, Aviation related major

Flight training was part at a 141 FBO, part at the college, and part at a 61 FBO. Doesn't really matter where you get your flight training... all the certificates are the same in the end.

Not an airline pilot, but heading for a degree in Psychology in the Spring with aspirations to be a professional aviator. Get the degree, it will help you significantly. :)

I was in the some college but no degree category. I am however taking advantage of the economic downturn and am on unpaid leave finishing up a degree. BS Meteorology, Penn State. I'm not doing it for the hope of it helping moving up in a career, I just would rather be learning instead of logging more SIC after being downgraded.

BS in Economics from a large, 4-year public (state) university. Did my ratings before, during, and after college. Then joined the USAF.

B.A. in History
Masters in Education

Private training at FBO then finished the rest at a flight school...CFI'd for about 6 months before getting my current job

BA History
Flight training after college at a FL pilot mill.
Eventually capt at Colgan. Quit in May.

It's been said a thousand times on here. Get a degree in something you enjoy that you can also be employed with, outside of aviation. You never know when you'll lose your medical or your certificate. You also might wind up completely and utterly tired of it like I did.
