So... I really REALLY want to come to ACE this year and I think I might pull the trigger. Anyone want to room up? I still have to look at my schedule but I may be able to make it Sat(night)-Tue.

If anyone wants to split costs on a room at the palms let me know. Need to make a decisions fast!

btw... another thanks to Doug and Kristie for the work put into this event.

Haha - just trying to save some cash man. The girlfriend can't make it because of school and we can't find a sitter for the kiddo.

I might split costs with you on sunday and monday night. I really want to be there at least for the new members, actual expo, and networking event...

Turns out I can't make it. My Girlfriends mom decided to come to meet me for the first time in 5 years during the week of the Expo. Everyone better make this a great event so there can be a next one!!!

If she waited 5 years couldn't she hold out for another week or so?

Well bring the girlfriend & her mom along, we will make sure they have a good time!:rawk::beer:

I still have dreams that keeps me warm out at night when Seggy brought his mom to one of the events:eek::rotfl:

My aunt and uncle (and cousins) met up with us one night when we were all in Vegas. Thanks to Stan and Captain Bob they left having an awesome time and not too scarred from seeing a bunch of rowdy pilots!

Ughgh! the confusion. I think law school is frying my girlfriends brain. Now she is saying that she is coming out at the end of this month for my sons birthday (which makes more sense). I'll find out by today when she gets back from school.

Time to go read the hotel cancellation policy!

You can cancel up to 48 hours before your res.;)

And now I can't come again

:banghead:this sucks. We have been having an electrical issue at the house the last few days. The whole south side of my house has no power. Then I get home today and my house smells like burning plastic. My girlfriend calls 911 and the FD shows up within 5 minutes. Turns out my Air Handler blower and the electrical board burned up and was starting to melt. The Fireman said if the AC was on for a few more minutes it could have caught fire.

cha ching... looking like a 6-900 repair.

no more ace for me.

and I still have an electrical issue to deal with too :banghead:

My limited understanding is that there are two hot legs that are brought into the house as the main electrical feed. Either leg is 110 volts when referenced to ground, and are 220 volts referenced against the other leg. Some high amperage devices use 220 volts (hot tubs, AC, etc.), while the rest of the household runs on 110 volts. For the 110 volts, one hot leg and a neutral wire will feed part of the house and the other leg (and a neutral) will feed other areas. What you describe is one bad leg. 1/2 the house has no power, and a 220 volt device almost burned up because it was trying to run on 110 volts (cutting the available voltage in half will DOUBLE the amp load, and can burn out conductors).

Should be easy for an electrician to locate the primary issue.

yup. I would agree. the electrician was scheduled for tomorrow. I shouldn't have waited so long because now it will be a lot more expensive.

Be careful until he can look at it. Do you know anything and your way around the fuse box? If so it one leg one side of fusebox will be all the circuits effected. Also all 220 circuits should be pulled/popped.
