Anyone see the new ALPA magazine?

My eyes are incredibly sensitive to bright light, I wear sunglasses unless it's overcast. My eyes HURT and I get wicked headaches if I don't. So yes, I would often walk across the ramp in my uniform with sunglasses, and pretty much always wore them while putt-putting around in the Warrior & Archer. It had nothing to do with trying to look cool though... I was simply sun-blinded and couldn't see without them!

At the same time? Oh geez, next you're going to tell me you bought an epaulet sweater!

Chicks dig the epaulet sweater. Has a Delta FA the other day in PNS on a groundstop give multiple compliments about how sharp the uniform looked.

Interestingly, some of the brightest/most unpleasant days I've experienced have been the result of a brightly lit overcast sky.

"Aaaaaagh make it stop!"

Some of the greatest sunblindedness I have experienced has been in the winter months with the sun reflecting off the snow! And yes, I'll agree that a brightly lit overcast sky can also be very bright!

Ha. I got an eye exam once and had to drive home with my pupils dilated from the exam under a brilliantly lit Texas overcast. That was torture.

Which DL FA? Could of been grandma reminiscing about her and Gladys scoping out all the cute boys at the sock hop with their cool V-neck sweaters.

Nah it was a young Italian girl. But on the real the sweater is popular among the younger generation. Dudes are even wearing it in the clubs here in ATL.

POIDH, young Italian DL FA, riiiight!
ATL- last holdout of the metrosexual.

I have blue eyes and must wear sunglasses per the instructions from the doctor because there is a higher risk of cataracts if I don't. So I do wear them because I want to keep my job, and because i love my job, and because I love my eyesight!
