Went on a flight on this back in Feb. I would recommend this program if the guy running it has done the following things...
1. Updated all of his charts and approach plates (some of them were over a year old). For example, we were given a STAR that we didn't have... and the book of sectional charts and low-en-route charts was also over a year old.
2. Re-configured the weight and balance of the aircraft with the updated equipment installed on the plane. He was using the Empty weight from 1979!!!! Meanwhile, he's installed a G-396 in the dash that he uses for IFR... non-IFR GPS!
3. Doesn't lie to you saying that he has 20 planes all over the country (he has 1 plane that works in KPMP, the others on his website are all pictures off the internet, he does have 3 planes that sit at KRBD but none of them are functioning) and he doesn't even have an office of any sorts...
4. C172captain and I went on this trip... you can ask him about it too.
The experience was great, but the guy was a total tool about everything and was only concerned about your money... If the approach plates aren't current and the weight and balance hasn't been re-configured (which the owner will lie about and say that is has been), I'd recommend not going.
