Anyone Heard Anything??

Ok-that is interesting. I only applied to SLC last summer. I never even thought about applying to multiple locations. I am even willing to move, I just did not do multiple locations. However, I applied for the Feb. 08' nationwide openings and listed 10 locations on that application-looks like I may have to leave Utah to do ATC. Interesting. Do you know yet when you will go to OKC? I suppose I could still get an email tomorrow, but I doubt it-it seems very likely they would disperse notice on the same day to all. Thats too bad-now Im sad Beehive!! I'd love to stay in the SLC. Good Luck to you-and Congrats!
 
I also applied to SLC back in June and a couple weeks after the announcement closed I read that I wasn't accepted to take the ATSAT for that location. So after I read that I threw a application everywhere I could fit one I even applied to HI. When I was placed on UT's list last month I was stoked.

I haven't read of anyone else receiving an offer from UT so hopefully they keep sending more out.
 
The Chicago PEPC has a specific date, but no venue yet. I was told they are going to send out emails with all the information either late next week or the week after that. Thanks for the number
 
Also waiting around to hear from salt lake. We live in west valley so we would love to just stay here and not have to sell our home. However we did also apply to about 20 other places and are on referral lists for many of them as well. I am glad to hear you have not all heard from them, gives me a little hope. Honestly i just hope I get offered an interview somewhere!

Just talked to OKC. They said that they have given out all the interviews for the panel that met in the end of February; however, they are meeting again for SLC in April.
 
Wow, I didn't think they'd be going back over all this so soon... I wonder if ATL will meet again then too, since they met about the same time last time.
 
I thought that was interesting too! I wish I would have thought to ask more questions:banghead:...such as date they are meeting and such. Next time I try something like this, I will make sure to have a list to ask questions with!

I've put off calling OKC at the risk of sounding like a moron... I already didn't get picked for this round of interviews and I didn't want to call and be like "Heyyy, I didn't get picked for an interview, but can I have one anyway!" Or whatever the heck I decided to say, it would come out sounding dumb.

A list is a good idea, I always think of the best questions (or comebacks) after it's too late.

I really hope that the opportunity presents itself and my husband gets a position...it truly is his dream!
 
So I'm at Disneyland on Spring Break when OKC calls me and informs me that I WAS chosen for an interview at Salt Lake City, but that they had been unable to contact me via email and home-phone. They finally caught me on my cell and said they had tried multiple times to reach me. The information on the FAA ASAP page is all correct so not sure where the misunderstanding came from. Anyhow, FINALLY got the official email and it says I was selected to interview for a position at ZLC, I was hoping for tower, but center will work too. What an interesting sequence of events!! What has everyone else heard?
 
Anyone giving me some info would be appreciated.

My daughter is scheduled to take the AT-SAT on 4/8. How long after the AT-SAT are people getting called for the PEPC? The reason I ask is that there is a PEPC at my place of work (A80) about a week or so later. Is this too early to have gotten your scores back.

:drool: Uhhh...Anyone else completely SHOCKED by this.. ATL- are you sure you are feeling ok? You are letting your daughter become an ATCS?? You know that means don't you? She'll be a NEWBIE... oh well, she can hang out with me. :D

I have no idea about the AT-SAT to PEPC time but I would like to know too...
 
I took the test in the beginning of July 2007. I was selected at the end of August for a location I declined. I would say its about a month or so in between. For this last panel I was selected at the end of Feb and called and begged to be put in the MIA PEPC which was about a months time.
 
Im in the same boat I took the test on 3/20 got result 3/21 but ive heard there will be a PEPC in DFW in april hoping to go to that one instead of having to drive some where else. But from what ive heard no one off the public announcement has had any type of offer yet, just testing.

Spring Break at Disneyland huh? You must have kids too. Hell yeah on the offer! It was OKC's fault, don't believe them. After I replied to the first email I got for Terminal in SLC I emailed again asking if they received my response...no answer. Did that twice than called OKC, spoke with Claudia who let me know that OKC is a mess, lots of new personnel, computers and movement. Turns out my name was misplaced, thats nice. She worked her magic and I received another email within days with some more info for some more info.<-My new favorite game.
If something seems off track or abnormal, give them as many calls as necassary to get a full understanding of your process.
Like the beastie boys said, "you gotta fight for your right, to party" with the FAA.

**Hey Beehive-did your letter indicate you were chosen for SLC TRACON? My email indicated ZLC. Just curious-I was hopiong for tower as I am a weather nut and would rather look outside every now and then. Anyways, what do you know about the PEPC? Have you been contacted since the email stating you were selected for SLC. Just wondered if there will be a PEPC in SLC or what the deal is. Do we pay for that? You are the only other person I know selected for SLC. I have 2 little boys and one on the way in April, so I am trying to decide what to do for OKC if I am indeed offered a job. (Take family, leave family -17 weeks is a long time). I don't mind the FAA being slow as I am so damn busy right now finishing my Meteorology degree at the U of U-4 more weeks!!

Congrats on the new addition. My husband and I have a 17 month old daughter and expecting another little baby in a few weeks. I'm in the same boat, if this process moves too quickly, I don't know what I am going to do about a toddler and an infant. My husband is going through this process with me, so it's up and move for both of us...we are hoping that we both go to OKC at the same time, that way we have twice the pay with half the room cost, then we can bring the babies with us. I guess we just need to take it one day at a time...still waiting on our AT-SAT scores...
