Anyone else turn down a PEPC for a local interview?

They're out to February already huh? Are you terminal or center? Still haven't been able to get through to Chicago on my medical clearance.
 
So I saw at stuckmic they're talking about class dates already back to April! Arg, I'm such an idiot for not taking that November 25th class. Do you guys think that class was uniquely empty or is there a good chance of getting put in another December/January class to fill a spot?

Depends on where your facility has class slots and how far down the list you are in line for your facility.

Sounds like they had an opening at the last minute and started calling down the list to see if anyone could fill it... so that could mean they called 3 other people before they called you who all said no. Call your HR rep and find out how far down the list you are for your facility.
 
hmm... This is interesting... So you're saying that a center/tower has a select number of slots that can go to OKC at any one time, and I'm technically on a list to fill it? I'm in Atlanta right now going to my interview tomorrow morning, and supposedly I'm selected for Jacksonville Center. So I can call my rep and ask how far down the list I am for said center? Or will I just be waiting a few months to get the TOL or FOL?

When I asked about my clearances she also gave me the "Oh wow, you're screwed" sound to her voice and was telling me about when i should expect to get a class date and then told me how many were in queue and about where I was... although she wouldn't tell me the exact number in line I was.

Updating you all again-- FOL is now in hand. Feb 10 class date. Walnut Gardens res. made for 32 bucks/day.

That makes 1 year from application to class date for me.
 
I elected for a local interview instead of a PECI. I got an email 4 weeks ago saying i will be contacted by LAX for an interview. I haven't heard anything so far. Anyone else get a call for a local interview?

Maybe call Aviation Careers and bug them about it. I waited for 6 weeks for an interview before finally raising a fit, my interview information was recieved by SBN Tower the next day.
 
After I turned down the LA PEPC(KC WAS FULL) I was sent an email saying my interview was in Long Island New York... I was like ####... thats a far ways away... not like the AT SAT drive up there was too long. ~330 miles one way. I was just going to pawn it off as a long x cnry to work on my ifr rating.

but decided to call my hr poc to ask if i could get a closer location.. she said no, then a week or so later i was contacted by washington center in leesburg, va(only 100 miles away) for an interview

which went well, only asked a few actual questions.. i think it is best to look over the questions posted on here because they are close tow hat they are going to ask, and let him give you one question and you conintue in normal conversation to answer the rest of them... although there were some really dumb questions, i forgot it off the top of my head, but i basically told me he couldn't answer the question if asked, but re phrased it to its intended meaning

i took the mmpi last tuesday. anybody have any idea how long it would take for me to move onto the next step?...god i'm wishing i just did PEPC now, for some peace of mind.

hey your going to the norcal tracon too right, i took the mmpi a couple weeks ago too and haven't heard anything since then
 
Anybody getting offers for fill-in spots in December? I remember some others got offers in November but passed them up like me. I'm more or less ready to go now and I really want one of those filler offers again. I checked and I'm still on the list, its just a matter of whether there's spots open or not. I wonder if November was just a really empty class...

I WISH I was getting an offer for fill-in spots for December:(. But you're CTI, right? I have a feeling you'll be one of the first to get called if there happens to be any fill-in spots available for December. They seem to be pushing through CTI and VRA before any OTS. So hang in there:).
