So are all FAA exams like this? Memorize the answers and whamo?
Yeah, pretty much.
That's not being cheap that's being immoral. I don't know how much $$ the guy makes off the program but I guarantee he makes it ethically and legally. Screwing him out of $75 is just wrong.
I agree with this to a degree, that's probably why I didn't tank it.
I think they have it down to a science though, regarding the refund, and I bet they don't pay too many of them out.
I figured they look at it like this,
Most people are going to take the test to try to achieve the highest possible score, so they factor out.
If someone doesn't score so high, but feels that the software was still an asset and worth the money odds are they won't request a refund, so the factor out. (Like MikeC said earlier)
Then you have the person that is unscrupulous and wants the use of the software, pass the test, and their money back. Well, you have to be pretty confident to start throwing questions unless you are absolutely sure about which ones you answered correctly. How many people want to play Russian roulette with their written test results. Blow the test because you were trying to miss questions and you are really going to feel like a dumb ass. So I think a bit of fear factor would factor these people out.
I am certain that Sheppard is a relatively small operation, that produces a good product with great support (24 Hours, 365 Day/Year). I would feel right dicking them out of a few dollars.
Now a utility company like Cox or a big box retailer like Bust Buy, not only do I not have any issue, I would (and have) bragged about it!
