Thanks, jtrain609.
Delphinusdanse's response is exactly what I was looking for when I started this thread. I need a little insight with regard to my original post. The encouragement and info on Skymates is what I'm looking for.
I'm pretty sure that all flight training will be pricey. I just want the best training I can get. When all is said and done, I want to be a competent commercial pilot. I don't want the bare mins the FAA requires. When I complete my final 'rating', I want to be a safe and confident pilot who is ready to begin a lifelong career in aviation which requires the dedication to continual training and knowledge. This is the type of environment where I want to train. I understand the economics of aviation being expensive (by the way, gas prices are going down, not up), and I am not factoring that into my decision. Gas prices affect every flight school.
Please keep any personal experiences with Skymates coming. The stories really do help.
Thanks
