What's funny is that I don't know how they would verify military pilots.
I knew an F-15 pilot who had no FAA ratings and had never flown a Cessna 172.
Then again, who would want to mascquerade as a military pilot? *Remembers Tomcatter* Oh, yeah...

Completely misrepresented himself as an F-14 pilot whereas I don't think he even had a private.
The "Goon Squad" got him.
The reason stuff like that is bad is because credibility of real professionals erodes and most people with valuable insight aren't going to put up with constant scrutiny.
