The starting pay is higher. I didn't realize it was a stepping stone for FedEx. I wonder why that is? Aircraft type?Don't know a lot but I do know their starting pay in about $13-14/hr. They do large wide body jets, military contracts mainly and its a great stepping stone if you would like to get into UPS or FedEx.
They have 11 aircraft I think, you were way offI don't know much about them, except that they only have 9 airplanes, and those are not always flying. Tulsa is cheap to live in though!
I applied about a year ago and that's what they told me their starting pay was for an assistant dispatcher so that's where I got that number from but yeah UPS and FedEx like them because you fly cargo loads, similar aircraft to what they fly and international and ETOPS experience. The starting pay is higher. 2 B777-200's, 5 B767-300's and 2 B767-200. 9. And Tulsa is still cheap to live. If you take it, look me up. I live in the area. They have 11 aircraft I think, you were way off![]()
Haha, I was way off2 B777-200's, 5 B767-300's and 2 B767-200. 9. And Tulsa is still cheap to live. If you take it, look me up. I live in the area.
That makes sense. Thanks.I applied about a year ago and that's what they told me their starting pay was for an assistant dispatcher so that's where I got that number from but yeah UPS and FedEx like them because you fly cargo loads, similar aircraft to what they fly and international and ETOPS experience.
That checks. Thanks.Omni is presently operating 767-200er and -300we and 777-200er aircraft.
I believe they are doing AMC lift as well as ACMI junkets for vacation companies.
It seems like Omni is one of the few ACMI carriers that have their together, so if you are looking for that line of work it wouldn't be the worst place to hitch your wagon.
Can't speak to Omni guys fast-tracking to the box haulers, but I find that claim somewhat suspicious. In general terms, experience working ETOPS and experience in foreign theatres of operation are valuable assets.
Congrats on the job.Haha, I was way offYes, I took it.
Thanks nyk.Congrats on the job.
I'm curious if Omni includes their dispatchers in CASS/reciprocal jumpseat agreements. Seems like jumpseating is a crapshoot in the supplemental world.
This is not true at all.I applied about a year ago and that's what they told me their starting pay was for an assistant dispatcher so that's where I got that number from but yeah UPS and FedEx like them because you fly cargo loads, similar aircraft to what they fly and international and ETOPS experience.
