Any SWA pilots?

Are there any SWA pilots on here? I flew with a SWA Captain a couple years back, and like an idiot I lost his contact info...

I know of one guy on here who has a dad that works at SWA. Possibly two, but I'm not sure if one of them is just a lurker.

"They have nothing to bitch and complain about. Thats a pre-requisite to being a 121 pilot on this board.

Ah..hahahah...

Ummm....you might have a point there.

I think the big airline internet guys are looking for more drama than what JC can offer. Honestly, there is no lack of them at APC. And, honestly, it's not a pretty site to see.

I rode in the corner cockpit jumpseat on a SWA 737, BOI-LAS, today. Plane was full. SWA guy in the jumpseat as well. Just like anywhere, there is much beyotching about the company and the merger (Airtran guys should not get DOH). But I have to say that I've never seen such a fun loving cool group of competent pilots as the average SWA dude is. I'll never compare cause I don't do 5 legs a day with steam gages and think nothing of it. But, in the end, I'm glad I don't have to.

How is the whole situation coming along, at least?

Oh, it'll take a long while to get done. The merger transaction probably won't be until next March or April, and then it could take 18-24 months to actually integrate the operations completely. It's moving along, though.

Hopefully its smoother than US Airways/America West.
