Any suggestions on how to keep cool this summer?

Wow, I found a used one from some FBO in south florida somewhere and it was dirt cheap. Try and E-bay that mother and see what comes up. Some places have them cheap and they stick with suction. The cracking thing might possibly be true however so you may want to be careful though I never had that happen.

Having never been in a Piper.........how much fun is it to secure the door when flying solo? It reminds me of the STUUUPID Taco Bell we used to have at school. You could not go thru the drive thru solo, you had to pay and receive from the passengers side window!:panic:
Well... you could have gone through it in reverse, could not you? ;)

Anyone know if these things work well or not? :D

Open a window or door? Once the engine gets going in a Cessna, the prop wash gets the air flowing if you open the window. The only time I close the window and door is right before I take off.

And then I bake for a few minutes before we get to altitude!

Thats why I fly a piper. The little window has a scoop to grab air...never used it inflight.

I hate how the vents work. I open them but all they do is blow semi-cool air on me.

I love Cessna vents in the summer but hate them in the winter.

Then I love Piper vents in the winter but hate them in the summer.

Just wish there was a way to meld the two.
