Another UND question.......

Ok, so I've been researching UND for quite some time and I have one gripe about it; How the hell do you get there, literally!

The only Airline I see that services KGFK is Northwest, and for me to go from New York to KGFK would cost me and arm and a leg not to mention the very limited availibility of flights.

Are there any airports in close proximity to KGFK that are serviced by airlines?

Other that hitch-hiking how do I get there

People commute from Minneapolis (MSP) but you would need a car. And that drive sucks, so the ticket needs to be considerably cheaper for me to consider it.

You could try Fargo (FAR) because they are also serviced by United, but I think if you are visiting, you would be better off coming in on NWA. And not sure what you are talking about, there are plenty of flights on NWA a day and they are rarely full.
 
Ryan, I got here through Northwest man. Payed around $315 roundtrip, which isn't toooooooo bad. And yeah, Luke is right, there's lots of space in the flights. The day I came, there were only like 8 people on board, seriously. (of course, I was on a Saab 340 so....yeah)
 
$315 aint too shabby. So whatta you think of UND so far? Know anything about the Army ROTC Helicopter Program?

I wish I got a fare for $315... I booked for later this month a few days ago and it set me back $702 from Seattle. Ouch.
