Another laser incident

I've been thinking about these laser incidents... Would it be possible to modify the glass so that it blocks the wavelengths of light that the lasers operate at? Because - what is a laser? - it's a beam of light limited to only a certain wavelength, hence the color red(or green).

If you check out those laser sites, they sell special goggles that block the wavelength. The problem is that, just about every laser is red or green.... you might see where this is going... nav lights. Along with airport beacons and runway/taxiway lighting, blocking out those colors can be pretty dangerous. If you were to wear goggles, you would have even more problems within the cockpit itself.

That's funny (well not "funny-haha" but "funny-you-should-mention-it") caue I heard all of this going down on my way out of Scottsdale late Sunday nite. Except I only heard the controller-half and was wondering what the other half was saying. Now I know...and knowing is half the battle! lol

Got hit once in Puerto Rico. I called the Center and filed a report, and they said La Policia were investigating. Never heard anything back. Knowing Puerto Rican police, they probably found the guy and joined him. :D

I for one am calling the police (right after I get my radios fixed) on the tower that was flashing a steady green bright light at me. Right on airport grounds! The NERVE!

got hit by one tonight going into kapa. one of the zillion candle power spotlights, followed by a green laser.
