Another Drunk pilot pulled of the airplane

We installed accelerometers on most of our airplanes where it measures turbulence. It gets uplinked to a magic brain somewhere in the CONUS. Gets processed along with altitude, lat/long/speed, intensitity, aircraft type, mixed together with forecast modeling, then uplinked to the Surface EFB devices around the world graphically, both laterally and vertically Then it's "predictive" because it knows your current flight plan, where you are and where you're going.

Pretty cool stuff.

I'll try to snag a photo of it.

Nah, it's been one of those weeks where suddenly I'm ground zero for a few thousand people... and "I've got a friend of a friend of a friend who needs..." so I'm a little bitchy! :)

My iPhone was glowing red from "dude, I got your number from my FO do you have any passes to the job fair?"

I'd been getting belligerent at mf's, when I found out who was giving out my number!

Derg, most people in your shoes would just slam the door behind you and not look back. I've never met you but you are going way above and beyond want any normal person would do to help others. I'm going to get current again at the end of the year. I've got a couple of F900 contract work offers and then I'm gonna work my butt of to get on at a 121. So I'm looking forward to shaking your hand. But not while you are pooping.

It's been on constant ring the last few days, it's pretty much in DND except for a very select few people.

Well you're a better guy than I. That stuff is rude af, and would possibly be a friendship ending offense. Do people have manners, or respect anymore?

Refer them to the website, or to the Delta pilot recruiting website. But never give out a number without permission.

Never want to be as popular as you.

I get all kinds of stereotypical comments from guys about my V-tailed Bonanza, especially some who should know better.

It usually results in me responding "no, you have it backwards..."

They knew the rules, they broke them, now suffer the consequences. If they have a problem get help, but showing up w Booz in the system is not something I'm flexible on.

Im supposed to know when you poop when I text now?

Yeah but we haven't graduated to a print out of the flight route with projected turbulence and signed by the pilots like some shops

If it's printed, the information is already obsolete.

"Don't throw that ATIS away, we'll need it on the way out in a couple hours"

Ralid City newspaper reported today that the police asked him to step from the cockpit during his preflight check. His BAC was .046.

If my math works out, if he stopped drinking right at 8 hours prior to breathalyzer, the guy would have had a 0.17 BAC at bottle down time. Adjust that for the fact that maybe the breathalyzer came a half hour after "duty on" and that puts him at just over .18 BAC at bottle down.

I don't know the guy's weight, but if we ballparked it at 180 lbs, that's at least 8 drinks before bottle down.
