This run in was really funny. Involved no injuries, etc. except for that pilot's ego that got bruised.
While at work(I work line at SMO) I was watching the ramp admiring a Citation X parked overnight. I heard the engine of a Stearman start up and the pilot began to taxi. Before I could even put my feet on the ground to run over, he taxied straight into a parked Aerostar.
The Aerostar was directly in front of the plane, so I don't see how he missed it upon climbing into the cockpit. Anyway, lesson learned that when taxing a taildragger, don't forget to swing the tail left and right to see what is in front of you.
