Announcement Ending 05/02

Looks great! Thanks for the reply. One quick question I have about the CD that came with the book. Is it Windows only or is it both Mac & PC compatible? Just curious. Thanks again.

The software does not work on a Mac, it's windows based. You can run windows on your mac & then it should work. However, I did not try that option.

This information is all very helpful... Unfortunately, I don't see a testing notification on the home page or anywhere else in ASAP, which may be a bad sign :(. Has anyone who applied to the 5/2 OTS announcement gotten notification on ASAP? It's looking like the 2/15 group's showed up mere days after applying.

Nope. Nothing yet. I check a hundred times a day.

Nothing yet for me too...I called again yesterday and they said they are finishing up who has the right qualifications....We should see it soon "hopefully".

Haven't heard anything yet either... I'm another one who checks ASAP and my email about 7 million times a day...

Whats up fellas,
I talked to them today AGAIN.....I was informed that they finished reviewing the people that qualified and we will hear this week if we made the cut. OKC is going to hate me by the end of all this for callin so much...

Well that's good news. Even though it's no rush for me (I've got a while before I graduate from college), it's the fact that we're gonna know this step's results any time now that keeps me on my feet checking.

What's the number you have been calling? We could all bother them now and try to get it done as opposed to just one person.

Guys and Gals,

Let it rest...you know this is the US Government and the FAA we are talking about. I've been on this Earth for 29 years now and worked for airlines for 10 of them...you have to understand they move SLOWLY, which is probably a good thing, so they don't waste time giving the AT-SAT to random joe-schmoes...

Lay off the phone calls....watch your ASAP and your email and it'll happen. I have a feeling because of the second posting ending 5/30, it was probably because they didn't have enough applications for the 5/2, or even enough qualified, and they are just waiting to lump us all into one.

It'll happen....just chill....it's a high stress job as it is....no need to add to the stress level for anybody.

Here it is fella's- Check your asap!

05/28/2008 02:21:46 PM (Central Time):
You have been authorized to take the AT-SAT test for announcement AAC-AMH-08-PUBNAT2-09140. You will be contacted within a few weeks to schedule the test. If you have questions about the process, please call Aviation Careers Division at 405-954-4657.

Brajit,
Its not putting more stress on anybody and on behalf of everyone on this forum...just keep those comments to yourself "stop calling and chill". Some of us have a lot riding on this and if we want to call we are going to call... sorry if I sound rude!!

brajit, first off, the job of the people answering the phone is to take questions from applicants. Second, the HR manager at the Chicago Regional Office said to keep calling the number for aviation careers. She said that is the best way to get up to date information. ASAP isn't a very good system for learning what is going on with the applicants.

Hopefully the person taking the calls doesn't get irritated and ditch your app! :panic:

Knowing the FAA, the HR office in OKC isn't setup as a call center with people who just answer questions on the phone. Their job also includes processing the applications and moving the applicants' paperwork through the multiple steps in the process. Time spent answering the phone is time that the process isn't moving.

It would be better for everyone if ASAP had better feedback information for the applicants, and maybe an automated process for getting updates from the panels. It should post info quickly like the AT-SAT process.

I got the message as well. It was nice seeing something different on the ASAP page. Really adds color to it.
