I'd rather be waiting here..after the pepc...knowing where I am going...than waiting for the At-sat,At-sat score, geo preference email, referral list, selection panel to meet, selection email saying you were selected, and finally waiting for my pepc....

waiting is what we are good at by now.... just think....you could be a guy waiting for the pubnat 7 to come out....:D

Yeah, seriously. But it's trying my patience, waiting for this very last thing, knowing all of my clearances are good and i just want to go to skool!

how long did it take u to get all of you clearances cleared?

Also..the HR lady told us at MCi that we would get our FOL's in a month...they were working on filling the second quarters classes...

I never got that straight of an answer. I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks for the background check to go through and that we wouldn't likely get FOLs until shortly before our class dates, which I'm told will be March, at the earliest.

Same. They alluded to our tentative clearances being done in a few weeks/month-or two, but they never used the term FOL when discussing that timeline. I got the impression the FOL was to come later, when they know when our start date will be (which might take a while).

Yeah, that hot HR rep specifically told me that an FOL will NOT be given until there's a class date specified.
 
I was offered today at 7am for PUBNAT2
KNEW tower in New Orleans. Level 5 tower, was told about 6 month CPC. Kinda random but as of now i'm gonna accept the offer. I talked to HR and they said they made a few more selections so there we go.

So let me get this straight... you sat through all of us getting selected and received nothing....

You were trying to get Colorado and California....

and finally got Louisiana today.... WOW!

Congratulations.... Don't feel bummed...you were just offered a J O B !
I'm going to a lower level facility too...the fact is..you are more likely to succeed and be able to bid up for what you want.
 
I think it was like 10 people got emails. I was just lucky in a hat I think. Others probablly deserve it more then me. But yeah I almost deleted it on accident haha. Wasnt exspecting that. Too be honest the LA part suprised me the most. Whatever. I guess 43k/year CPC isnt bad for 21 years old in todays economy.

Exactly...and the benefits are sweet. The point was to get your foot in the door. Better to go to Knew and make it in as cpc then to go to KDEN and wash out... work your way up like the old days....
As long as you are looking at this as an opportunity...i think you will be fine. I bet you are taking a job that someone turned down...
 
Yeah im sure someone turned it down. Ill take sloppy seconds lol. Yeah now I PRAY for OKC not till MAY or JUNE so i can finish the next semester. I havent been keeping up. When are OKC dates for PUBNAT2 supposed to be?

i was told that kc pepc people may get FOL's next month...but they arn't filling dates until February...

I will be honest and say....I have no real idea. I will leave on short notice though..
