I kind of wish I could see what I missed and what I got right because I left feeling 50-50 about the test...
A week or two after the last testing happens across the nation you will get an email to pick your geographic preferences. A month or so after that they do the referral lists. 1-2 weeks later the panels meet. 1-2 weeks after that you (hopefully) get an email inviting you to a PEPC. Times are approximate, your results may vary. Void where prohibited.
Thanks for the info. Any clue how specific you can be on a location preference without getting frowned upon? I know they probably want ppl to be flexible, but I REALLY would like to stay in my area if possible.
Kinda 0ff-track...but does anyone know...on the practice section of the SCAN test...after you do it it says "aircraft avoided correctly/incorrectly" wtf does that apply to?
I mean, common sense would suggest that it's preventing the blocks from touching each other, but they move so fast it's not like they're even travelling but rather just blinking a few times then disappear.
The point of this being...is this graded on on the AT-SAT?
Yeah, that's where I crashed my planes too. They either knicked the airport wall on the way in or the knicked the exits on the way out. this happened when I thought they were good to go and was just letting them do their thing...unfortunatley I guess they were a little "off" and it was hard to tell that when they were clear across the screen and I had set them in motion. Of course, I have to think that lining up with an exit in a 40 thousand foot wall around the airport would probably be the job of the pilot...as long as I get him close:laff:
Being in Florida...I have like 9 to choose from in this state alone...
They probably give you 70 points just for getting your name correct...
Hey does anyone know what is the last test date in the nation? I want to know so as to when I should expect another email for geographic pref. email being that I got looked over on the last one.
Where in Florida wouldyou like to go? I am wanting to try to get a spot down there as well, especially MCO, but I have heard a lot of the senior controllers try to go there to retire. I would be flexible with anywhere, but taking into consideration the cost of living, I would want to stay out of South Florida. $100k does not get you anything there...
Hey guys!
I have been reading for awhile now, since sending my app on asap. I am taking AT-SAT on friday. Stupid question time... Does everyone get selected to take to AT-SAT?
Thanks

You know, I almost made a special reference to a select few of you guys to limit the amount of grief I would get, and I'm actually surprised it took this long to hear anything back from you. I wasn't saying that I would be making that much, I was just pointing out the fact that in, say Miami, $100k wont get you jack. Just making a reference to the cost of living factor.Where in the hell do you think you're going to make 100k as a controller under the new pay system? That was a good one.anic:
