Phew, late night AM....C2C has some weirrrrrrd stuff.

Art Bell was a treasure. I don't think he believed much, if any, of the stuff presented on his show. But he had a good sense of how to present it without alienating anyone, that's what made him a succesful broadcaster. I'll still listen to some of the old shows on Youtube occasionally because it's still entertaining. That guy that used to call in about the huge/deep hole up in Oregon or Washington was always interesting to listen to. I don't believe any of it, but it was fun.

looks like flares or live fire exercise where targets got splashed in W497 which is just off the coast of VRB.

The number of times I’ve been far enough off the coast of Florida’s popping flares from either my, another, or all aircraft for the purpose of training, I’d put good money on this hypothesis.
