And now,it begins.

Well if you are a relatively new student, then yes, there is an OPTION to have your money put into an escrow account. However, when I was a student, this program did not exist. It didnt make its debut until about 4 or 5 months ago. Now, as for whether or not luv2av8 is speaking "half-truths" as you say, I am not him, but I can touch base on you with that one. I WORK THERE, all the stories, are true. I know how things work there, after all I WORK THERE. So before you post, and attack someone else, you get your facts straight.

I'm not so sure on that one. Seriously if you guy(s) are so unhappy why are you here. I had two of my students instructing over their standz breaks and both got over 200 hours in two months. The jobs are out there....go somewhere else. There is no sense in working for a company that makes you this miserable. If you are this unhappy, I bet it is hard to give quality, positive flight instruction. Don't take that the wrong way, I'm sure you are a good instructor but it is difficult to separate the two if you are so miserable.

Well im here because I gave 70 thousand odd dollars to be here, to "buy" a guaranteed interview. I know well enough that there are jobs out there, im watching others go to them too you know. Thank you for not saying im a bad instructor, im not. I do seperate my feelings about the academy from my instruction though. I do not like the academy, but the students are paying alot of money for my time, and therefore i give them good instruction. That is what makes me give good instruction, the students, not because of anything else. I do think that prospective/current students should know about what they are about to or what they are currently in. Thats why I post. I dont throw mud, I give stories/facts. Sure, some people who rather like DCA come out and try to ruin my credibility, attempt to stray from the point. Ive seen the "why are you here if its so bad" discussion enough times. Theres my answer and I think that is why most stay. as with any program DCA has a great way of creating tunnel vision and people may give up oppurtunities to stay where they are. I may be guilty of the same thing, but unless an oppurtunity rises that i just cant pass up, im staying. I dont buy a new car to drive it into a wall. I dont "buy an interview" to quit and not get it.

yeahthat.gif

My thoughts exactly. Please go away and instruct or do whatever, but don't bring the rest of us that enjoy instructing at DCA down with you. The school has some problems, in my opinion they are not as bad as you seem to think, but if they are, what on earth are you doing here? Find a job at a place you like, life is too short to be so bitter and grumpy...

Ah, well you jumped in ahead of me, but OK, sounds like a reasonable argument, I just couldn't stick it out if i was that unhappy, but that's just me...

yeahthat.gif

And FatB, why didn't you take the money out after Key sent it to the school and just leave enough to start the rating?..That's what I did. They had a minimum to leave in to start a rating (a couple thousand dollars) then just add from your bank account as your school account gets toward the grounded list (still $700?)...then it's you collecting the interest!

I don't deal in rumor or conjecture, just facts.
But if a person feels they have been wronged,

[/ QUOTE ]

You brought this up earlier, but I got lost
keeping track of how many people were involved.

From your Apr. 30th post:
[ QUOTE ]

It was good, till I got with an instructor who has a severe
gambling problem and was told by another instructor he
wanted to use me to help make up his paycheck that he
lost gambling, so I better be careful.

[/ QUOTE ]
So far, 2 instructors:

Instructor #1is the one who's milking you for money.
Instructor #2 warns you about #1's gambling problem.

You then get a new instructor and:
[ QUOTE ]

and the new instructor, because he didn't like me
ratting on his friend did the same thing

[/ QUOTE ]
This new instructor, is it the same as #2 above? Or is
he a third one?

If it was #2 that doesn't make sense: that he would warn you
about a wrong being done to you, and then turn around and do
the exact same thing he had warned you about. (And that
you'd let him!)

If it was a different individual (that would be #3), then the story
gets kind of complicated. 3 different people taking part in a conspiracy
of corruption, cover-up, revenge, and gambling debts.
Sorry but I don't buy it.

That you would get milked by one instructor, that's one thing.
It's possible; although inexcusable --and you'd have every right
to be pissed off.

But all the extra detail involving a second, and maybe a third,
instructor; makes your story less credible.

On the other hand, if you throw in Guido from the Mob waiting
in a dark alley to collect on the debt or else break #1's
kneecaps, you got yourself some good "pulp fiction":

[ QUOTE ]

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.

And I will strike down upon thee with GREAT VENGEANCE and FURIOUS ANGER those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers!!

And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!!!! [ B A N G !!!!!! ]

Amoeba, have you considered, mmmm, perhaps therapy?
Where do you come up with this stuff? Were you a writer for Law and Order,or a Agatha Christie mystery novel?
Your talents are wasted here.

Muscles, I can't speak for Vic, and your thinly vieled threat is wasted here. You ought to use that for ones you may intimidate - namely DCA students (Not all of em, of course). I informed the consumer and will continue to do so. Now you speak of business DCA sends his way.
Yea, a lot of dissatisfied customers who got tired of DCAs' garbage. And if the school did shut down, I am sure Vic would be ready to assist those customers, like he's doing with Tab Express Students. Vic is a classy guy, so please don't bring him up in this forum and even suggest he would play politics like that.

Muscles you also mentioned something about the contract.
Yes I know what it said, blah, blah, blah. Again I accept if I was learning a particular skill and had trouble with it, extra flights would be involved, ground school, etc. Thats' not the complaint.
The complaint is about ones taken advantage of in ways that are unethical. Your arguement about the contract is quite frankly, dead.

Those of you told you can't switch your money over to your own protected account, call the Attorney General, or Key Bank.
I'm sure it would be an interesting conversation . If DCA is so sure footed, why are they resisting this option? Do not buy this bull!
Its' your money and your loan, ultimately, your responsible for it, not DCA.
Again all consumers stay informed.

Some one also posted about hearing rumors from management- really? So they joke about the school shutting down, and all this other bad stuff, huh? I believe that.

In closing, not all DCA Management agree with what is happening to the school.
Some are quite concerned about this, and have decided to warn you about this, They certainly weren't joking about this.

Keepin you informed, the bastard.

Currently on a R&R break.

Update!!
My sources in management at DCA informed me that Delta today warned about a possible Bankrupcy filing. It makes it all the more imperative, according to my sources, that you put your monies into a protected account right away, since the after affect of this Will impact you. (Just to stay on the safe side)

Keepin you informed, the Bastard.

Keep posting Fat Bastard. The more you post, the more you set yourself up for a good libel case. I personally would like to see this happen. That way I no for sure you'll never end up in my cockpit or any other airline's cockpit. Nobody would ever choose to want to sit in a small confined area for hours on end on a four day trip with the likes of yourself. Chinese torture, root canal, or listening to songs sung by Yoko Ono sounds like a soothing antidote as opposed to having to listen to you express your negative "things didn't go the way I wanted and how the world is out to get and screw me, but here's how I screwed them back" mantra. Paranoia, the destroyer!

You can include your friends/friend/alter ego luv2av8 in this category. I've always been in the mindset that if you don't like something or something isn't going right, either adapt or conquer.
Any idiot can tear something down, but it takes a little more professionalism and energy to make change. I here alot of b!tching out of luv2av8 and his/her alter ego, but you don't hear one ounce about what they are doing to try and improve their situation (if they even work there). Very weak. If this is the kind of attitude they bring to the cockpit, they need to go into single pilot ops. You'll make our trips that much more enjoyable.
This is not personal attacks, consider it constructive criticism coming from someone who's getting concerned about future F.O. mindset. Like I said before, there is nothing worse than being paired on a trip with a negative person spewing every second how everything is wrong with their world around them. That's where their focus is, and that's where their focus remains, but they do nothing to improve their situation. Every airline pilot can attest to the torture of being paired with a person like this. Luv2av8, if your situation is so dire and you decide to stay in it, it is your own fault if you let it stay that way. On your next posts, I would love to hear how you're trying to improve the school. The school had too many positives going for it, I hate to see chumps tear it down.

p.s. I take back listening to Yoko Ono, the horror!!!

Sounds like a personal attack to me PIS-REP!!
Save your threat, I don't fear you or anyone else, wasa matta, feeling threatened by truth?
I really think you need a diaper change, or maybe you need to be burped.
Libel by definition is spoken/written untruths about an
individual or organization which causes harm to said person.
Show me the Libel Pisrep.
You call it libel to inform someone of thier rights?
Your anger is evident.

And About Deltas' bankrupcy, this was the latest news report released today PISREP.
You wanna improve the school, stay there then and give up your airline career.

You think I won't be in the right seat next to you at an airline, your right.

I'll be your Captain, asking you if you want your diaper changed, then I'll ding the flight attendant to do it, and have her burp you, too.

Oh by the way, baby want his bottle?
I did spell your name right didn't I?
Pisrep or Pirep, go figure.
And it's spelled KNOW not No, if you need help, please see your LRC TUTOR.
rolleyes.gif

One more thing, I would never talk about a bad experience or share that info with someone else. You are, however free to speculate all you want to about what I might do, eh, anybody offer you a book deal yet??
Gotta learn how to spell first!!

You were warned, and now you are being locked for a breather and to take a "chill pill" until THE MAN determines whether or not to reopen the thread.

Everyone go back to your corners, take a breather, gather your thoughts, and chill the hell out.
