An Article on Privatising Aviation

*points at ppragman* .... you | *points at juhgz* .... you | *points at mshunter* .... you | *points at jacetheace* your cool | *points at jtrain* and [BIG]....[/BIG] you IM OUT! :D

PS Steve don't hate!

Now seriously, jtrain we have talked a bit in chat if I remember correctly. You seem like a pretty nice guy. However, you came across like an arrogant jerk on this thread. OTOH I agree with you that the "hours make you smarter" mantra exhibited by the majority of pilots is absurd.

Maybe it would help us all to know the purpose of this: "EDIT: Did you really just admit that you've operated multiple times while fatigued oh, as you say "exhausted?" The FAA reads this forum, dude." This is the portion of your posting that made you sound like a jerk with a side of arrogance, IMO of course.

A touch more arrogance presented itself when you bashed part 91 for its no rest rule but have yet to address this: (USMCmech) "You'll have to dig up the stats from NBAA yourself, but pt 91 corporate aviation has a the same if not better safety record compared to 121 airlines."

Finally if this:

Want a copy of my resume too? Maybe an affidavit from the Pope explaining that I can read part 91/121/135 rules? Letter's of recommendation from captains I've flown with on here (there are two)? People I've trained at said part 135 company that post on here regularly (JayAre)? Copies of my 135.340 letters?

doesn't define "arrogant jerk," I don't know what does.

To my knowledge flying, training, or whatever in 91/121/135 doesn't give a person a statistical knowledge of the safety within each. So really, when you address safety within the individual venues, you are speaking off the cuff unless you have some statistics to back it up. Not a pilot resume.

True, but can we get back on track??? Please...

Which direction is the track? I'm lost.

To shdw, the direction of the track from which we have so devolved is to comment on the article on privatizing aviation I posted from the Ludwig Von Mises website.

Also, you have no idea what my attitude is until you meet me. Many people have, and I'd recommend you do the same in Vegas this fall. It's a quick drive from LA, I've done it before and I'd be happy to hang out with you there.

:rotfl:

You're a piece of work...again, do as I say not as I do.

You've never meet me in real life but are willing to blacklist me from Ameriflight and BTA. This guy thinks your acting a fool and you tell him to meet you in real life instead of drawing conclusions over a message board. Maybe you should listen to your own advice once in a while.
